Interconnected via zinc-plated steel lacing pins (8mm diameter) and cross-wire binders, the system allows hydraulic permeability in gravel-bed streams. Compliant with EN 10223-3 standards, optional non-metallic composite spacers (polypropylene) prevent galvanic corrosion in saline estuaries. Base units integrate 100mm PVC drainage ports for pore pressure relief in cohesive bank soils.
