1. Site Preparation

• Foundation Compaction: Fill the trench with compacted granular material (e.g., gravel or crushed stone) to create a stable base. This prevents settling and improves drainage. Compact the foundation using a vibrating plate or roller.

2. Gabion Cage Assembly

• Unfold & Connect Cages: Unfold the flat-packed gabion cages (usually made of galvanized or PVC-coated steel wire mesh) and secure the edges using spiral binders, clips, or tie wire. Ensure all corners and seams are tightly fastened to maintain the cage’s shape.
